MerchantReady is an independent advisory tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stripe, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. We do not represent Stripe and we do not act on Stripe's behalf in any capacity.

References to Stripe in our content are nominative — used only to identify the payment processor whose published rules and checklists our readiness reviews are organized around. The Stripe name, logo, and trademarks remain the property of Stripe, Inc.

2. No outcome guarantees

Our reports are informational only. We do not guarantee, and you should not infer, any of the following from our service or our reports:

• That your Stripe account application will be approved
• That a suspended Stripe account will be reinstated
• That held funds will be released or that payout timing will improve
• That you will win a dispute or chargeback
• That any specific business model will be accepted by Stripe
• That Stripe will treat your application in any particular way

Stripe makes its own underwriting and risk decisions according to its own criteria. Our readiness review is one input among many a merchant may consider when preparing materials.

MerchantReady's reports, guides, policy templates, and other content are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, financial, or compliance advice. Specific circumstances may require qualified professional review.

We provide recommended policy text and template language as a starting point. You are responsible for ensuring that any policy you publish accurately reflects your business and complies with the laws applicable to your jurisdiction and customers.

4. Public website review only

Our free scan and paid review examine only the public content of the website URL you provide. We do not:

• Request, accept, or process your Stripe Secret Key, login credentials, password, or two-factor codes
• Access your Stripe Dashboard or read your Stripe transaction data
• Bypass authentication, login walls, or paywalls on your site
• Submit forms, post content, or take any action on your site beyond reading public pages
• Crawl administrative, payment, or customer-only pages

5. Accuracy and completeness

Our reports are generated by combining automated review of public website content, structured intake from you, an AI-assisted draft, an automated compliance check, and a human editor's review. Despite this process, reports may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or interpretations you disagree with.

If you believe a report contains a material error, contact support@merchantready.org within 7 days and we will review your concern.

6. Restricted business screening is preliminary

Where a report includes a "restricted business" or "high-risk" screening result, that result is a preliminary advisory based on public business descriptions and Stripe's published restricted-business list as of the report's effective date. It is not a final determination. Stripe alone determines whether your business qualifies to use Stripe.

7. Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer to reflect changes in our service, in Stripe's published rules, or in our legal obligations. The most current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of MerchantReady after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer.
